2025 Mission Support Opportunities
Quarter 1
A Place of Refuge Ministries is a network of volunteers and staff who are committed to life and to caring for women facing crisis pregnancy in South Wisconsin. We have a house where mom's may stay throughout their pregnancies and while preparing to transition to independent living arrangements. Through Refuge House & Advocacy Program we:
REACH women with needs during pregnancy. Telephone hotline volunteers identify the callers' needs and...
RECEIVE them into God's care through His people. If needed, bring them into Refuge House where they may feel safe and loved. If they are already in a safe and independent environment, our volunteer Advocates then work one on one with mothers and...
REFER them to community resources available for their physical and emotional care. Congregations throughout South Wisconsin...
RESPOND by providing what is not available in the community by sharing God's love for us in His Son Jesus Christ. And every day we...
REJOICE in the opportunity to share the gospel and share in the joy of a baby born.
Quarter 2
Following the Southern California wildfires, the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod is responding by providing financial aid, spiritual care, connecting volunteers with those in need and supporting Lutheran Early Response Teams. Grants are also given to assist with larger housing expenses such as deposits, rent and furniture. LCMS is working with local leaders to ensure that renters, homeowners without insurance, and other underserved people don’t fall through the cracks during recovery efforts. LCMS is partnering with Lutheran World Relief to provide aid, delivering quilts and kits, in and around Los Angeles. They are also working with Project Camp, that runs trauma-informed pop-up day camps for children displaced or out of school due to natural disasters.
Quarter 3
Working with partner ministries and congregations of the LCMS, the Lutheran Deaf Mission Society (LDMS) provides training and resources for both deaf and hearing Christians who bring the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ to people who use visual forms of communication.
LDMS strives to equip Lutheran congregations, pastors, missionaries, seminarians, and laity to help Deaf people and their families see Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior through personal evangelism and Christian education, and to help Deaf Christians serve Jesus Christ as His redeemed people through stewardship and leadership training.
In 1994, it was estimated that approximately 90% of deaf people did not attend church. It is likely this number is even higher today. Let’s help LDMS make a difference in bringing Christ to all people by bringing gifts and offerings for this worthy ministry!
Quarter 4
The Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) helps women of The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS) find avenues to use their God-given talents as they joyfully share the Good News of Jesus Christ with people far and near. Through the LWML, thousands of volunteers daily dedicate their lives to making a difference in this world. They equip themselves for the task through prayer, encouraging Bible studies, and mission education.
“The purpose of the LWML SWD is to assist each woman in the congregations of our district in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her Spirit-endowed gifts in reaching out with Christ’s love to all the people of her church, neighborhood, and the world.”
